What magical item from the Harry Potter series would you like to have?

If by chance you found yourself in Diagon Alley, what magical object would you immediately try to find? Based on your personality, we made some assessments.
PS: We would automatically assume you would want a wand, so just pretend we already gave you one.

If you're brave.... you'd have a broomstick!
If you're the outdoorsy type or enjoy Muggle sports (which unfortunately usually take place on the ground), we imagine you'd love to get your hands on a Firebolt or a Nimbus 2000, or even just a Cleansweep Seven - anything that literally whisks you off your feet. The Broom is, of course, one of the most sought-after wizarding items in the world, so we imagine many of you would immediately choose this. Maybe you don't even feel like playing Quidditch, but just want to go exploring.

In Diagon Alley, you'll usually find crowds of young wizards gazing in wonder outside the Quality Quidditch Supplies window - and really, who can blame them? So, if you love the outdoors and are up for an adventure, we imagine you'd immediately shout "up" and fly off somewhere nice with your own broom.

If you're single.... you'd have a Blind Cloak.
Do you like those stolen, quiet moments where basically everyone gives you some peace and quiet? Then you would most likely enjoy the Invisibility Cloak; an opportunity to be completely inconspicuous. Think about how beautiful it would be, after a hard day, to just put the cloak over your head and leave it alone. You could go anywhere, no worries, no talking about it, no one giving you flyers. Harry usually used his cloak to solve mysteries or hide from unwanted wizards. We would most likely use ours when we wanted to hang out at parties.

If you were really worried.... you'd have Sneakoscope.
This one is perhaps debatable - as the Sneakoscope is a device that goes on a furious rampage if someone untrustworthy is around. Perhaps if you're someone who tends to be overly apologetic, the Sneakoscope would make you more worried? Or perhaps you would feel a sense of authority and would prefer to know that there is something to worry about? Sneakoscope may not alleviate your worries though, but at least you would be aware that not all of your worries are in your head.

If you wanted to put on a show... you'd put on a fireworks show.
Sometimes, Muggle inventions make their way into the wizarding world, but with some significant improvements.

A good example of this is fireworks, which are bigger, brighter and much more animated than ours. Various brands are available, such as the Dr. Filibuster series, but don't forget that the Weasley twins also have their own brand (Weasleys' Wildfire Whiz-bangs), which had a big, dramatic impact on their epic exit from Hogwarts in Order of the Phoenix. It's also a great way to advertise your products. Unlike our little Catherine wheels and miserable rockets, the Weasley twins' fireworks were described as "pyrotechnic marvels" and included sparkly dragons and endless firecrackers.

So the next time you want to dramatically leave the room, as Fred and George did, they're sure to turn heads.

If you love to travel....you'd have a Portkey
Perhaps one of the most enviable parts of the wizarding world is that the community simply has much better public transportation options than we do. Even the Hogwarts Express has a much better food cart than most of our Muggles.

Strictly speaking, a Portkey is usually a simple item, like a shoe or bucket, but placed with a spell to take you to a specific place. This is how Harry got to the Quidditch World Cup, for example. Think of the opportunities you could have, an eager traveler, with such an item always at your disposal. No administration, carrying heavy luggage or long plane flights required! Just imagine tapping a toaster and turning up in Thailand. Or patting a pencil and turning up in Peru. Or grabbing a guitar and going to Greece. Well, you get the idea.

If you were a perfectionist... you'd have a Time-Turner

Have you ever thought of the absolute perfect comeback to tell someone who once said something rude to you? Except you thought about it six days later? Now, with Time-Turner, you could go back and say that incredibly witty thing to that man who ran into you in the mail. You could go back, whenever you wanted, to your own timeline and sort out all the little mistakes you made along the way. Finally! That twisted way you asked to meet a person you liked could be fixed! You never dropped and broke that whole jar of pasta sauce at the supermarket! You wouldn't want to change anything too much though - time travel is a very complicated business. Just ask Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy.

If you appreciate the finer details in life.... you'll have some Omnioculars

Omnioculars seem to be like Muggle binoculars, but with much better features, basically. Harry found this out when he acquired one at the Quidditch World Cup.

So how would you use them? Maybe you're an avid photographer. Maybe you need a better pair of glasses but haven't bothered to sort your subscription yet. But really, these glasses would be perfect for anyone who just wants to explore their surroundings in perfect resolution.

And the best part is that you can rewind things you just saw and watch them anew. For example, you can relive a nice sunset or re-watch the moment your baby takes his first steps. Ron used this feature to... watching someone pick their nose. But maybe you appreciate the finer things in life.

If you were a little extravagant... you'd have a keepsake...
We've all been in the shoes of young Neville Longbottom, who had a reputation for forgetfulness. This handy device, basically a glowing orb that turns red when your mind fails you, was good for Neville - though it didn't really tell him what he had forgotten. Still, we imagine this item would be perfect for any time you leave the house and realize you left your keys, wallet, or phone behind. Or maybe it would just never stop glowing - driving you a little crazy. Nonetheless, we'd take over the alternative.
